Today, Cllr Jon-Connor Lyons launched his campaign to get a a living green wall in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester.

Cllr Lyons launched his campaign with a video, asking for a meeting with the Leader of the Council, Cllr Richard Leese and Manchester Labour Party Group Secretary Cllr Pat Karney. He held a sign saying “Dear Richard Leese and Pat Karney, GREEN THIS WALL”. To view the video, click here.

Cllr Lyons said “I strongly believe our built environment affects how we behave in this city. I’m also an advocate for more green spaces in the city centre, for tree planting and general greening. That’s why today I’m launching my campaign to have a living wall, a living green wall here in Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester.”.

Cllr Lyons has contacted the Leader of the Council and Manchester Labour Group Secretary directly to ask for a meeting with the local Councillors.
