The development of Manchester is something to be celebrated and we love living in a growing city, but there must be a balance between city centre living and development.

Please join our campaign to call for a public review of construction hours and demand more resources towards enforcing them.

Councillor Jon-Connor Lyons has said “City centre living and development are often at odds in 2020 Manchester. This does not need to be the case. Residents want to be able to get up in the morning without the sounds of drilling and clanging.”

“In cities across the UK which have populated urban areas, construction hours start much later than 7:30am in the morning. I believe Manchester needs to reflect this and review our policy on construction hours.”

“We can only achieve change together so I urge all residents in Piccadilly Ward who’ve been impacted by noisy construction to take part in this petition and join me in this campaign to change policy.”
