After campaigning over the last two years, Piccadilly Labour have finally secured the consultation for the safe cycle route between Piccadilly Train Station and Victoria Station, including the pedestrianisation of Stevenson Square.

This consultation has been running for almost two months and it closes on the 17th February 2020.

You only have one day left to comment and put forward your views.

Cllr Jon-Connor Lyons has been speaking to people across Piccadilly and the City and they have been clear; they want Stevenson Square to be pedestrianised.

He said “Its time we have a square that is fit for purpose. That has age friendly seating, that has a space for businesses to grow, that has trees and clean air for people to breathe. If you want all those things, you need to vocalise them. The bus companies and powers at be won’t give them to you unless you demand them. Join me and let’s take back this square for the people of Piccadilly!”
